Convergent Names Web Insurance Innovator Thomas Trezise President: With Trezise Convergent Gains Network of Insurance Experts

San Jose, California, October 22, 2007 — Convergent Insurance Services, LLC, today announced that Thomas M. Trezise has joined the company as president. Trezise brings to Convergent a diverse background in the insurance industry. Most recently, he led Daystar Consulting, a consultancy working with the property and casualty insurance industry. Trezise has held executive positions with USF&G, St. Paul, XL Capital, and Renaissance Re, where he developed expertise in many of the functional areas of insurers and reinsurers. He began his career as a trial partner with the Baltimore, Maryland law firm of Semmes, Bowen & Semmes.

Trezise has participated in the design, development, and roll out of policy administration, claims, and litigation management systems with several insurers, including a Web-based underwriting platform. "Tom is uniquely suited to lead Convergent," commented Andy Scurto, CEO of Convergent. "Tom not only has substantial leadership experience and a deep understanding of the insurance business that spans underwriting, claims, legal, and compliance among other functions but also has considerable experience working with insurance technology and the use of technology to improve business functions and processes."

Trezise brings with him to Convergent the network of insurance consultants he developed through Daystar Consulting. He will be expanding that network for Convergent to enable Convergent to offer its clients a full platform of insurance and technology services.

Convergent is headquartered in San Jose, California, and provides technology and insurance consulting services to insurers, program managers, and businesses supporting the insurance industry. Trezise will be based in the Baltimore area and establish offices there for Convergent, enabling Convergent to easily reach clients anywhere in the country.
